Reflection for the Hungry & Homeless Children of Quanamenthe, Haiti

A humble reflection from a medical mission to Haiti and the Dominican Republic that left our group completely stunned at the conditions and circumstances surrounding hundreds, if not thousands of children in both countries. Some of the faces in this reflection are cared for by an orphanage, Comedor St Jean Evangelique, on the border of Haiti and the Dominican Republic in Quanamenthe, Haiti where the Catholic sisters there only have enough money to feed its children three days a week. In addition, with so few beds, many of the them have to sleep in an open park across the street at night. Let this be a reminder that while most of us live privileged lives, it is also our responsibility to love thy neighbor and care for those less fortunate.
